    A two-minute form about you and your manuscript. Nothing is uploaded yet.

  2. We read it

    Colin reviews every application personally. If it's a fit, you'll hear from him within a week. If it's not, he'll tell you honestly.

  3. A call and a proposal

    Thirty minutes with Colin, then a written proposal built for your book, with the full number. No packages.

  4. We build it and launch it

    Editing, cover, interior, print, distribution, and launch, all in-house. Most books take four to seven months.

    Every manuscript is reviewed before it's accepted: strong writing, a clear message, marketability, and alignment with our values. We don't publish every manuscript for money.

  • You keep your rights

    You own your copyright and control future editions. Zion earns $1 per book sold; you keep the rest, 85% or more of net proceeds on most titles.

  • One team, start to finish

    Editing, design, registration, printing, distribution, websites, and trailers, all by our own team. You have direct contact with the people doing the work.

  • You decide at every stage

    You'll see the roadmap, the investment and royalty math, realistic marketing expectations, and every print option before you commit.

  • Printed properly

    Premium offset runs with top North American printers, every binding and finish, at the best prices. Print-on-demand for shorter runs.

  • Still here after launch

    We stay in your corner from launch day up to twelve months, depending on the plan. Marketing deliverables at 30, 60, and 90 days.

Colin Edwards founded Zion after publishing his own first book through a hybrid publisher and watching it reach people he never expected. Authors started asking him the question he'd asked himself: I have my manuscript, what do I do now?

So he started walking them through it. More than two dozen books later, that is still what Zion is: a guide through the whole process, with a team behind him that produces the work.

Colin reads every application and takes every first call himself.

What it costs

Every project is quoted individually after we've read the manuscript and talked with you. Here is what you can count on before that call.

Payment plans
Most authors split the investment into three to five payments spread over eight to nine months.
Printing is quoted separately
We walk through print costs on the kickoff call so you know the full picture before anything goes to press.
$1 per book to Zion
That's our royalty. You keep the rest. Authors typically begin to see a return around 700 copies sold, though no one can guarantee sales.
